2013 North by Northwest Red (Syrah blend), Columbia Valley, Oregon

90 Points! - Wine Enthusiast

89 Points! - Wine Spectator

89 Points! - Wilfred Wong

Smooth and round entrance. Lush ripe fruit and wellintegrated tannins dominate the mid-palate. Finish shows subtle earth characters behind the fruit with solid length.

In 1990, Ed King discovered a parcel of land with rich soil for growing hay to feed local horse and cattle farms. By 1994, more than 100-acres were planted to create the most clonally diverse soil and climate-matched vineyard ever grown in Oregon. Our organic winemaking process further enhances the true identity of King Estate wines. (usual retail $20)

2012 Chateau la Croix de Queynac Bordeaux Superieur, Bordeaux, France

2012 Chateau la Croix de Queynac Bordeaux Superieur, Bordeaux, France

In the glass, there is a beautiful intensity distinguished with garnet, purplish hues. In the nose, red and black fruits waft intensely, with a little marmalade adding a subtle sweetness. In the mouth, it is very fruity, all in finesse and elegance, ending with silky and tasty tannins.

Château La Croix de Queynac is located in the commune of Galgon within the greater Fronsac district of Bordeaux, very near Lalande de Pomerol. Château La Croix de Queynac is very much a Right Bank estate (meaning the property sits north of the Dordogne River along with St. Emilion and Pomerol) where the region’s fine terroir consists of clay and stony soils that are ideal for the production of first rate white and red Bordeaux. The estate’s vineyards have been in the Gabard family since the 1800s and are now being exploited by Stephane and Paola Gabard, who took charge of the château in 1999. Their wines have won numerous medals at major Paris and Bordeaux competitions and have been cited for distinction in the Guide Hachette and Gault et Millaut, the most prestigious food and wine publications in France. (usual retail $20)

2013 Kilikanoon

2013 Kilikanoon "Killermans Run" Shiraz, Claire Valley, Australia

93 Points! - James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion

90 Points! - Antonio Galloni, Vinous

Rich and powerful in both fruit flavor and palate persistence. Ripe, bold and lifted Shiraz flavors dominate the nose, with plum and mocha supported by the French and American oak influence. A sweet mid palate offers soft tannins and warmth of character. A wine with both power and finesse.

“Smooth to the point of satiny; ripe without being overdone; fleshy and delicious all the way to the end. Regardless of price there's little more one could ask; the price simply makes it all the more attractive.” - James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion (usual retail $22)

2013 Ghiomo “Vigna Granda” Nebbiolo, Langhe, Italy DOC

2013 Ghiomo “Vigna Granda” Nebbiolo, Langhe, Italy DOC

Intense, brilliant ruby red color with a floral and fruity bouquet, fresh and delicate. In the mouth, it reveals an elegant, tasty, rich, tannic and persistent taste with a light bitter aftertaste. Ideal with hors d’oeuvres, light main courses and white meats. Excellent with delicate cheese. The wine should be allowed to breathe at least two hours before serving. Good cellar potential.

The Vigna Granda bottling is sourced from 3 different vineyards in Piedmont, Italy: Vigna Granda, Vigna Bursa and San Lusè. The grapes are harvested when completely mature; fruit is selected by inspecting each bunch individually in order to collect only the very best. Intense, brilliant ruby red color with a floral and fruity bouquet, fresh and delicate. In the mouth it reveals an elegant palate, with rich raspberry and cherry fruit, orange essence and ample tannins. The finish is lingering with sour cherry and strong tannins carrying through to the very end. (usual retail $25)

2015 Jules Taylor Chardonnay, Marlborough, New Zealand

2015 Jules Taylor Chardonnay, Marlborough, New Zealand

"Best Buy!" - Michael Cooper, New Zealand Wines

This fragrant chardonnay exhibits stonefruit and butterscotch aromas layered over spicy notes with a hint of smoky oak. The partial wild and malolactic fermentations along with the extended lees maturation in barrel have added complexity and texture to the wine. The palate is smooth and round with lovely balance of minerality and well refined acid.

The fruit for this wine was grown in the Brancott Valley and Taylor Pass sub regions of Marlborough. It was harvested by hand and machine, then taken to the winery. The fruit was whole cluster pressed and put directly into French oak barrels for indigenous ferment on light solids. The yeast lees in the barrels were stirred regularly over a nine month period to add weight and texture and the wine underwent partial malolactic fermentation.(usual retail $20)
