2013 J Bookwalter Protagonist Cabernet Sauvignon

91 Points! - Wine Advocate & Wine Spectator

Classic ripe Cabernet aromas invite you to a glass filled withdark fruits, cream and coffee tones. Generous amounts of black fruits, graphite, minerals, cocoa and rose petals seamlessly fill the nose and palate. The finish is long, filled with fruit and vanilla with toasty oak and mocha flavors echoing across this rich wine. Fine smooth tannins and refreshing acidity structure this refreshing young Cabernet that opens well in the glass. Powerful, age worthy, long and generous, this wine will richly reward for a decade or two, enjoyable with a host of foods throughout the seasons.

2012 Va Piano Cabernet Sauvignon

91 Points! - Wine Advocate

90 Points! - Wine Enthusiast

“This wine brings aromas of blackberry, dates and spice. The palate displays abundant cherry flavors with lightly chalky tannins.” - Wine Enthusiast, 90 points

“This wine is all about balance. A rich, opulent wine, the soft, polished tannins and just a touch of acidity create a balanced, elegant and approachable Cabernet, even in its youth. 2012 ended up being one of the best vintages in recent history in Washington, and this wine is a great example of what turned out to be an almost perfect year, yielding ripe but balanced wines.” - Justin Wylie, winemaker.
