California Restaurant Month: Lucy Restaurant

It’s all about the farm-to-table experience when visiting Lucy Restaurant in Yountville, California. The modern, organic aesthetic and sustainable, eco-conscious philosophy of Bardessono Hotel and Spa is mirrored in its restaurant’s cuisine. Lucy Restaurant grows much of its own herbs, vegetables and fruits, which the chefs use in their culinary creations. What the restaurant does not grow it sources from local, sustainable, organic farmers and ranchers. It’s quality you can taste in every bite.

Lucy Restaurant also has a full menu for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and everything in between. All the plates are fresh, cleansing, organic and local; their wine selection also features some of the world’s best organic, sustainable and biodynamic small production wines. When not enjoying the modern sophistication of the Lucy Restaurant, guests can enjoy this same quality of food at the bar or by the pool, with specially tailored menus for each location.

Lucy’s Garden, the restaurant’s namesake, is located on the hotel’s property and is a gorgeous place to stroll through and relax in, learn about sustainable gardening, and dine with friends. Garden tours are given daily, where guests can learn and appreciate the organic gardening process and taste fresh samples, like slices of Persian limes or one of the eight different varieties of mint in the garden. Visit in the spring or summer and book a Garden Party for you and your friends. It begins with a garden tour by Chef Scargle followed by artisanal cocktails – with ingredients like garden-fresh herbs, local fruits and distilled liquors – created by mixologist Vincent Lee, and finishes with an afternoon of dining on seasonal plates in the heart of the garden.

Lucy Restaurant’s eco-friendly attitude satisfies the palate and the consciences of its guests in a contemporary, relaxes setting. The hospitality and culinary excellence of Chef Scargle and his team along with their commitment to the earth and sustainable cuisine makes dining at Lucy Restaurant a complete, sensory, and intellectual experience.
