A Weekend at L'Auberge Provencale French Country Inn
Our Touring & Tasting Regional Director Cathi Wastal just returned home from a wondrous journey into beautiful Northern Virginia. Nestled in the hills of the Shenandoah Valley, Cathi spent the weekend at the beautiful L'Auberge Provencale French Country Inn. Luckily for us, Cathi found time between wine tasting and wine country relaxation to take a few pictures of her stay.
From dinner at the award-winning restaurant La Table to an inside glimpse of L'Auberge's charming guest rooms, here is Touring & Tasting's inside look at Northern Virginia's L'Auberge Provencale French Country Inn.
L'Auberge Provencale's main guest house. Quite the wine country charm!
L'Auberge's guest room extension. Cathi's room was the door on the right!
Luxury and comfort! Only in wine country.
Cathi had only one thing to say about the room: "amazing!"
Cathi's pre-dinner martini. Tasty!
Dinner is served! First dish was scallops with a beet puree, squid ink vinagrette and pea shoots.
Second dish: Artic Char with roasted onions, fennel puree and truffle froth!
Oh my, this dessert looks good!
Fresh berries for breakfast? Count us in!
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and L'Auberge Provencale understands this.
After her trip, we asked Cathi how her stay was at L'Auberge Provencale and this is what she said: "This place was absolutely amazing! The owners Celeste and Alain (the chef) were so hospitable and welcoming! They have owned this for 33 years!" Next time you find yourself wine tasting in the Shenandoah Valley, visit L'Auberge Provencale. If Cathi's pictures are any indication, you are in for a treat.
